Types of CSC Scholarship:

There are three distinct Scholarship Categories:

  • CSC Scholarship Category A
  • CSC Scholarship Category B
  • CSC Scholarship Category C

Select CSC Scholarship Category A if you are applying through the Chinese Embassy. Keep in mind that as per the new policy from the Chinese Scholarship Council, you have the option to apply to two universities via the China Embassy.

Opt for CSC Scholarship Category B if you are applying directly through the university. Please note that according to the new Chinese Scholarship Council policy, you are allowed to apply to only one university under Category Type B.

Choose CSC Scholarship Category C if you are applying through alternative sources. Since you are submitting your application directly to a Chinese university, you should select CSC Scholarship Category Type B in the CSC Scholarship Online Application System when completing the form.

CSC Scholarship Age Limit Requirement:

  • Undergraduate Degree (25 years)
  • Masters Degree (35 years)
  • Doctoral Degree (40 years)

  • Doctoral Program CSC Scholarship: CNY 3500 RMB is Monthly Stipend, No Tution Fee, and free dormitory, medical insurance.

In terms of funding categories, the Chinese government scholarships are categorized as follows:

1. Full or Type A Scholarship: This encompasses registration fees, accommodation (typically in a university dormitory with a roommate), basic medical insurance, and a monthly stipend for personal expenses (ranging from approximately 2,500 to 3,500 Yuan per month, equivalent to about 350 to 500 USD).
